Christmas Mini Sessions Sydney 2025 – Capture Your Family with Fabiana Coll Photography
There’s something truly magical about this time of year. The air feels lighter, the days get longer, and everything seems to slow down (before it gets crazy!) just enough for us to look back and appreciate what really matters, family, laughter, and connection.
Every November and December, my camera becomes a window into those little moments that define the year — the giggles between siblings, the way a child clings to mum’s hand, or that quiet glance between parents that says, we made it through another year together.
For me, photographing families during my Christmas Mini Sessions isn’t just about festive photos — it’s about celebration, reflection, and gratitude. It’s a chance to capture the love that’s been growing quietly in the background all year long.

Why Christmas Minis Matter
Every family I meet — whether I’ve photographed them before or it’s their first time in front of my lens — brings a unique story. Seeing familiar faces come back year after year honestly fills my heart. Watching little ones grow, noticing new baby siblings, or capturing a couple now standing a little closer after another big year — it reminds me why I do this.
Christmas Minis aren’t just about the photos themselves; they’re about what they represent. They mark a chapter’s end and give families a tangible way to hold onto what they want to remember.
In a world that moves so fast, these 15 minutes can be a pause — a little reminder to slow down, breathe, and soak in your people.
No Props Needed — Just Connection
Over the years, I’ve had many families ask if they need to bring Christmas props or dress in a certain way. My answer is always the same: you don’t have to.
Some families love the festive touch that I always bring along — a Santa hat, special blanket, or a little sparkle. Others prefer to keep it simple and timeless, letting the focus stay on their connection and personalities.
Both are perfect.
The truth is, the magic isn’t in the props — it’s in the people. It’s in the genuine smiles, the cuddles, the way a child’s laughter fills the air.
And because we shoot outdoors, there’s already so much beauty around us. The light, the trees, the sea breeze — they all become part of the story.
Summer Light, Natural Joy
One of the reasons I love doing these sessions outdoors is because — let’s be honest — we live in Australia, and Christmas means summer! ☀️
Instead of snowflakes and reindeer sweaters, we have golden light, salty air, and warm evenings that feel like pure freedom. There’s something special about kids running barefoot through the sand or a family snuggling under a shady tree while the sunlight filters through.
Natural light just brings everything to life. It softens the colours, makes skin tones glow, and adds that warm, dreamy quality that feels real. It’s not staged — it’s you, as you are, in the moment.

This Year’s Exciting New Locations
This year, I decided to mix things up a little and add two brand-new mini session locations that I’m so excited about!
🎄 The Christmas Tree Farm
This spot feels straight out of a movie. Rows of lush, green trees stretch out under the summer sky, creating the perfect blend of festive and natural. It’s ideal for families who want that Christmas feeling without having to go full Santa-mode.
The photos from these sessions have this gorgeous, classic look — warm, joyful, and timeless. You can feel the laughter in every frame.
🌊 Tamarama Beach
Over the years, I’ve had so many clients from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs suggest doing minis at Tamarama — and this year, I finally said yes!
It’s everything you’d want from a beach session: soft light, stunning cliffs, and that laid-back coastal energy that just feels so “Sydney.” Families love it because kids can run wild, splash a little, and be their true, playful selves.
Plus, let’s be real — beach photos always look incredible printed big on the wall.
Short, Sweet, and Full of Life
My Christmas Mini Sessions are designed to be easy and fun — no stress, no stiff posing. Each session lasts just 15 minutes, but trust me, it’s plenty of time to capture the magic.
Over the years, I’ve found that these shorter sessions work beautifully, especially with little ones (and dads who aren’t too keen on long shoots 😄).
Each session includes 5 high-resolution digital images, and families always have the option to purchase more — which most end up doing, because once you see them, it’s hard to choose just five!
The best part? You’ll have your images ready in time to turn them into heartfelt gifts for grandparents or to use in your holiday cards. There’s truly nothing more special than gifting memories.

A Way to Say Goodbye to the Year
What I love most about these sessions is how they naturally become a moment of reflection.
Every family arrives with stories — a busy year, big changes, new beginnings. And somewhere between the laughter and the hugs, there’s this unspoken gratitude for everything that’s happened.
For me, Christmas Minis are about more than photos. They’re about saying:This was us, right here, right now. This is what mattered.
They give you something to hold onto when life moves into the next season — a little snapshot of who you were at this point in time.

Seeing Familiar Faces Again
There’s a special joy in photographing returning families. Watching kids I first met as toddlers now stand taller than me is surreal and beautiful.
When clients return, it feels less like work and more like catching up with old friends. We pick up right where we left off — laughter, inside jokes, and genuine connection.
And for new families joining me for the first time — welcome! I can’t wait to meet you and start what I hope will become a beautiful yearly tradition.
Because honestly, that’s what this has
become for so many of my clients — a way to mark each year, capture their family’s growth, and celebrate the love that keeps evolving.
Limited Spots Available — Don’t Miss Out
As always, these Christmas Minis tend to book out quickly (sometimes within days!).
I currently have limited spots left across Balmoral, Clontarf, Clive Park, Centennial Park and Tamarama Beach.
So if you’ve been meaning to update your family photos — or just want to end the year on a meaningful note — now’s the time to grab your spot.
Fifteen minutes, a whole lot of laughter, and memories that will stay with you forever.

Why It All Matters
When I look back at all the families I’ve photographed over the years, I realise that what we’re really doing is building a visual legacy — one that tells your story through every laugh, every cuddle, every glance.
It’s not about perfection; it’s about presence.
Photos have a quiet power. They remind us to slow down and pay attention — to the moments we’ll miss one day, the people we love most, and the feeling of being together.
That’s why I love these sessions so much. They’re not just about the holidays — they’re about celebrating your family as you are right now. Because when the lights come down and the wrapping paper’s gone, these are the memories that stay.
Ready to wrap up your year with something beautiful?Book your Christmas Mini Session today — and let’s capture the joy, love, and connection that define your family.
Can’t wait to see you soon,
