There’s nothing like those first days at home with your baby, and as a nostalgic mum myself, I relive those moments with my own boys every time I photograph a newborn. I truly put my heart into each session.
We usually shoot in your home where everything feels relaxed and familiar, or in a cosy studio if you prefer. I blend timeless portraits with natural, candid moments, always following your baby’s lead — with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, and outfit changes.

Hi!
I'm Fabi. I'm a mum of 2 energetic boys, an outdoorsy soul, and a family photographer based in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, though I love travelling across Australia (and beyond) to capture the families I work with.
I became a photographer because I’m always wishing I could pause time with my own kids—to hold onto those fleeting, everyday moments. That’s why I love helping other mums preserve their family’s journey through heartfelt, authentic photography.
Over the past decade, I’ve captured the love, connection, and unscripted moments of hundreds of families, both in the UK and here in Australia.
I’m also a parenting advocate and host a parenting podcast, which keeps me inspired by all the ways families grow, change, and connect!
My sessions are all about fun, connection, and keeping things stress-free, so you can relax, be yourselves, and walk away with images that truly tell your family’s story.

NEWBORN SESSIONSFAQ
when?
I love capturing newborns in their first 14 days of life (ideally between 4-10 days) when they’re sleepier and it’s easier to get those cozy, curled-up poses.
That said, I completely understand that sometimes things happen fast or you weren’t able to book early. I’m happy to capture babies up to 3 months old and will make it work beautifully, whatever the age.
If you know you’re having a C-section, we can plan in advance. Otherwise, just let me know your due date, and we’ll go from there. Don’t hesitate to email or call me even from the hospital to arrange a session.
where?
Newborn sessions typically take place in the comfort of your own home, but if that's not an option, I’m happy to organise a cosy studio space for you. If you have a special park or beach nearby that you'd love to include, we can chat about making that work too.
how?
In my newborn sessions, I love combining timeless portraits of the baby with some lifestyle pictures of the family simply relaxing and being themselves around the house.
Safety and a relaxed environment are my top priorities in these sessions. I understand a newborn’s limitations and restrictions and I work around their schedule with plenty of patience.
I pose them according to their unique way and I accommodate plenty of time for these sessions so that there is time for feeds in between, and clothes changing without any stress.
do you bring props?
Yes! I bring everything we'll need for the baby's portraits. I use minimal props to keep the focus on the baby and make your photos timeless. However, I do bring some gorgeous muslin wraps, blankets, and baskets that we can use for the baby’s portraits.
Please feel free to have any particular items (blanket, toy, clothes) that you love handy, and we’ll include them in the pictures!
