I have been there. We want to wait for the perfect moment, buy a beautiful dress, maybe lose some weight, and sometimes even get our hair and nails done to then finally organise a family shoot.
And all of this is important, especially if it will make YOU feel good.
But you know what's more important? To actually do it. To actually be in the frame and photograph this moment with your kids, dress or no dress.
We take photos to enjoy them now, to see them on our walls and share them with family and friends. We take photos so that we REMEMBER a particular moment in the future, we take photos so they take us BACK in time. And guess what? What you will want to see in the future is the way your kids looked at you, the way you used to laugh together or how you smiled every time they said something silly, you will want to remember the specific way they used to cling onto your leg or how much they loved hugging you from behind.
My promise to you is that in my photos I capture these, making sure you have a smile on your face when you look at them in the future - isn't that the whole point?
Mother's Day is fast approaching and it's the perfect excuse to get in the frame, exactly how you look in this moment in time, to have a special morning or afternoon with your kids and let me capture it for you.
I've always been honest in admitting that motherhood sessions are my favourite, and this year as well as my classic Motherhood Minis I will be offering a few spots for "A day in the life of..." sessions, where I come to you (home, beach, park, you choose) and I photograph 2 hours of your daily life as a mum, it could be cooking, cleaning, playing, ANYTHING that you feel makes this moment special and that you want to reminisce in the future.
If either option sounds like something you would like, simply reply to this email with your interest and you will be the first to know details when they're released in March,
Wanting a longer session at the location and day of your preference? Check out:
Additional prints, mounts and albums are

Forget perfection, let's get real.
This Mother's Day I want to offer something new and different, I want to
encapsulate this moment in time with your children for you.
I will be offering a few spots for "A day in the life of..." sessions, where I come to you (home, beach, park, you choose) and I photograph 2 hours of your daily life as a mum, it could be cooking, cleaning, playing, ANYTHING that you feel makes this moment special and that you want to reminisce in the future.
This is me, back in 2017. I was lucky a photographer friend was doing a "Day in the life of..." project and took the most beautiful natural photos of everyday moments with my boys. Those photos and what they mean to me a few years later inspire me to do the same for you this Mother's Day.
Trust me, one day you will love looking back at even the simplest moments of your day now. x
